It is important to integrate your guests into a church where they can continue to grow in Christian community.

In cities, people do not necessarily live and work in the same area, so you may find it helpful to recommend churches in a range of different locations. Alternatively, and if appropriate, you could invite guests to your own church. Some local churches also run midweek groups for working people that could be of interest to your guests.

Various resources are also available for post-Alpha groups, such as God at Work, the suggested follow-up course to Alpha in the Workplace. It is best if the follow-up course leader has completed the Alpha in the Workplace course with the guests so he or she is already a familiar presence.

God at Work

This suggested follow-up to Alpha in the Workplace is a 6-week course that challenges Christians to live out their faith in the workplace. God at Work is not only for those already engaged in the exciting challenge of living out their Christian faith at work, but also for others exploring the bigger questions of life; those who would describe themselves as sympathetic to Christianity, but not quite shareholders. The God at Work course can be run using a Leaders' Guide and Guest Manuals. Course leaders and guests may also benefit from reading the book that the course is based on: God at Work by Ken Costa.
